St. Michael’s Adult Choir and Schola sing traditional choral music, with emphasis on Renaissance a cappella pieces and Gregorian Chant. Pay is$75 per call. There are usually 4 calls per week, with rehearsals on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and 2 weekly Sunday Masses (usually $300 per week). Over the summer, there are usually 3 calls per week(usually $225 per week). See full description of the position below.

Sunday services September through May:
Twice a month: 9:00 a.m. (8:30 call)
Three times a month: 11:15 a.m. (10:30 call)
First Sunday of the Month: 5:00 Evensong (4:00 call)

Messiah United Methodist Church in Springfield, VA is looking to hire a Tenor Section Leader beginning Thursday, September 8th for the 2022-2023 choral season. 

Time commitment: Thursday evening rehearsals 7:30 – 9:00 PM, Sunday morning 11:15 AM service (10:30 AM call).

Compensation: $100/call, with additional compensation available for concerts

The Church of the Epiphany (Episcopal) in Downtown DC is seeking a paid Tenor section leader. Good sight-reading skills, the ability to help and encourage volunteer singers, and singing solos in a concert setting are required. No weekday rehearsal. 

St. John's Church, Lafayette Square, an historic parish across from the White House, seeks a tenor staff singer to join the fully-professional St. John's Choir which provides musical leadership for the weekly 11:00 a.m. service in addition to monthly Choral Evensong and extra services throughout the year. Members of the St. John's Choir also serve on a rotating basis as section leaders within the volunteer Parish Choir.
