Soprano Nancy Scimone knew from the age of six that singing would be her lifelong passion.  With a mission to share hope and beauty through music, her distinctive vitality and generous stage presence have reached audiences from transcendent cathedrals, Kansas farming communities, and the Kennedy Center Concert Hall.

Opera roles include 'La Priora' in Poulenc's Dialoghi delle Carmelitane in Italy with the Montefeltro Festival (2018) and 'La Contessa' in Le Nozze di Figaro at the Embassy of Austria; she was soprano soloist in Handel's Messiah at the Kennedy Center, and her solo concerts include US Botanic Gardens, Anderson House Museum, John's Hopkins Art of Healing Series, and Smithsonian National Zoo galas, and in New York City at St. Peter's Concert Series and Church of Our Saviour. She has been a guest artist with the US Army Chorus and Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic. With enthusiasm for music by living composers, she has premiered songs by Elzbieta Sikora, Steve Danyew and Russell Woolen.  She is an accomplished vocalist of 1940s “Great American Songbook” music.
