Tenor - Old Presbyterian Meeting House - Alexandria

Auditions are being held to complete of a professional choir core of eight singers.

Positions begin September 2018 for choir season which runs through May 2019.

Only one Thursday rehearsal per month on first Thursday of each month 7:30P-9:00P.
Sunday call at 10:00A with full choir for 11:00A service each week plus two calls per month at 7:45A with quartet for 8:30A service.
Minimum seven calls per month and often more; additional services include Christmas Eve and Maundy Thursday.
Repertoire focuses on Anglo-American choral literature of the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries; repertoire lists from previous years available upon request.
Strong sight-singing and musical skills are required as well as a congenial support for volunteer singers; music is expected to be learned outside of rehearsals and well-known by Sunday service times.

Per-call compensation begins at $75.

DonaldsonSScott Donaldson , bass-baritone, has a wealth of experience in musical theatre (ranging from Roger in Grease to the title role in Sweeney Todd), in opera (the Father in Hansel & Gretel and Dr. Greg in Gallantry), and in oratorio (Handel's Messiah and Beethoven's Mass in C). In the DC area, he has performed with numerous choral ensembles including the Washington Chorus.  Scott subs regularly with local church choirs, teaches voice lessons, and holds experience in film and TV productions.
