Trinity is seeking a musician skilled in choral conducting, organ, and piano, to lead the Music Ministry. Our Chancel Choir is the principal ensemble in weekly worship at the 10:30am service. Currently, the Chancel Choir rehearses on Saturdays from 10am-noon, and warm-up at 9am on Sunday Mornings. Candidates should be comfortable in contemporary, double-anglican chant, gospel, taize, traditional genres, and negro spirituals. Annual concerts with orchestra include Dubois' "Seven Last Words" & Handel's "The Messiah." Calvary Baptist Church in the Penn Quarter neighborhood, downtown DC, seeks a skilled, creative and fun musician to lead their Music for Kids program. Walker Chapel United Methodist Church is seeking an experienced pianist to help rehearse and accompany the parish choir and occasionally perform special music for Preludes and Offertories during Sunday services. Organ skills are preferable but not required.
The successful candidate will be personable, display an interest in sacred/worship music, and skilled in augmenting choir rehearsals in playing parts.
