Roman Catholic, Anglican Use Evensong Choir
Vocalists seeking a Catholic choir singing excellent liturgical music are invited to audition for a limited number of openings
Mount Calvary Church of Baltimore is welcoming experienced volunteers singers to join its fledgling Evensong choir, which sings every Sunday afternoon. A combination in formal English of the primary elements of Vespers and Compline from the Liturgy of the Hours (Divine Office/Breviary), Evensong is one of the cornerstones of the Anglican musical and liturgical patrimony, one enthusiastically singled out earlier this year by Pope Benedict XVI in conversations with Britain's new Anglican Use Ordinary.
The Georgetown Chorale is welcoming new singers for all voice parts, male and female adults – Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass.
Rehearsals are Wednesday nights 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Christ Lutheran Church, 8011 Old Georgetown Rd., Bethesda, MD. Our first rehearsal of 2012 will be Wednesday, January 18 @ 7:00 p.m. Come and meet us!
Medieval Madness, a comedy dinner theater in Old Town Alexandria announces auditions for singing servers (sopranos and altos only). This is a part-time position available on weekend evenings (Thurs/Fri/Sat nights). All music performed is Medieval or Medieval-style. Previous serving experience is preferred. Singers earn at least $100 per night and must be 21 or older. Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings from 7 - 9pm.
